Welcome to Ste Genevieve Project Pioneer a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the genealogical history of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, the oldest town west of the Mississippi River founded in 1735 or before. We honor French and German founding families each year at our annual celebration the Ste Genevieve Jour de Fete, held the second full weekend in August.
